Abstract:

Corporate security best practices means utilizing tools and processes
inside and outside of the general anti-virus vendor industry. As
network worms and blended threats become more prevalent, the need for
security protection far exceeds the traditional anti-virus signature
detection design. We must have an integrated approach to our protection
strategy. I will discuss the tools and processes we utilize to be
effective in practicing corporate security protection in a global
environment.

Biography:

Jeannette Jarvis is a Security Systems Product Manager at The Boeing
Company. She provides architectural direction, product evaluation,
product selection and policy management on all Boeing business units
anti-virus and security tools concerns. During virus events she
provides leadership, crisis management and direction. Jeannette is a
founding member of the Anti-virus Information Exchange Network (AVIEN)
and a corporate reporter for the WildList. Jeannette has had 10 years
of real world virus protection experience in a corporate environment.
Ms. Jarvis has spoken at many international security and anti-virus
conferences including RSA, Virus Bulletin, EICAR, and Gartner's Sector
5/Security Summit. Her papers represent a wide range of security issues
encountered in the global corporate environment.
